Weekend Recap Part 2: Cabinets!

Progress update!

It was a busy weekend with both a Father/Son retreat (see previous post for photos) and volunteers generously giving their time to work on our future living quarters on Camp Wilderness Ridge property.  We are thanking God for our good friends Pairsh and Andres, and Don and Carol McCall (Claire's parents), who were able to help us hang, sand, prep, and stain all of our kitchen cabinets!  Andres was the superstar of the weekend (a.k.a. crazy about staining cabinets) and, even though he stayed all day Saturday and Sunday, he has already taken up the charge of putting together a group of Young Adults from our home church (Hill Country Bible Church NW) to come out next weekend.  Please let us know if you're interested in helping!  We need to put one more coat of stain, then sealant.  Other projects include installing counter tops, removing bathroom cabinets, painting walls, installing shelving, cleaning carpet, and some light plumbing and electrical (Please let me know if you're experienced in these things and can offer your services!)

Check out photos below from the cabinet building (all are B&W, except one to show off our new blue living room wall!)

Progress is a process.
